Camp basics

Who can come to camp?

Children aged 5–15 who are in Year 1 or above. We group children by age so that activities suit the group.

What time is the camp day?

The camp day runs from 9am to 5pm. Early drop-off and late collection can be added to selected camps when booking on Pebble.

Where are the camps?

GoSport Activity Centre in Gosport, The Gregg School in Southampton, and Bedales Prep School in Petersfield. Each location page gives the relevant venue information.

Can my child come for just one day?

Yes. Book a single day or several days on Pebble. For Christmas 2026 at Gosport, you can also book all six camp dates for £204.

Activities & confidence

What will my child do?

Activities vary by site, season and weather. Camps can include climbing, archery, axe throwing, bushcraft, STEM, creative challenges and team sports. Selected Gosport programmes also include watersports.

Do they need any experience?

No previous experience is needed. Instructors explain the activities and provide the specialist equipment.

Does my child need to be able to swim?

No. Children do not need to be able to swim to join our watersports activities. They wear buoyancy aids and are supervised by qualified instructors. Please tell the team about your child’s swimming confidence before their session.

What happens in bad weather?

Activities are adapted to conditions. Gosport can switch from water activities to land or indoor activities when needed. All sites use a mix of activities to keep the day active.

Booking & payments

How do I book a paid place?

Choose your location and holiday, then select Paid places to book on Pebble. If bookings are not open for your chosen holiday, contact the camp team about the next dates.

Can I use childcare vouchers or Tax-Free Childcare?

Yes. We accept childcare vouchers and Tax-Free Childcare. Choose the childcare-payment option when booking on Pebble and follow the PonchoPay instructions. You’ll find a payment guide in the Parent Hub.

How much does a day cost?

Gosport’s February, Easter, May, October and Christmas camps cost £38 per day. Gosport Summer and the Easter and Summer camps at Southampton and Petersfield cost £45 per day. For Christmas 2026 at Gosport, book all six dates for £204 — £34 per day. Optional extras, such as hot lunch or extended childcare, are charged separately.

Can I change or cancel my booking?

Our cancellation policy explains cancellations and refunds. Contact the GoSport team if you need to change dates or discuss an existing booking.

HAF funded places

How do I book a funded place?

Book through Hampshire HAF on Eequ. Create an account, add your child’s profile and request a place on an eligible funded session. Eequ confirms eligibility as part of the booking process. Your place is booked once you receive confirmation.

When do winter HAF bookings open?

Hampshire winter HAF bookings open on Monday 23 November 2026 at 2pm. Search for GoSport in the Hampshire HAF directory on Eequ when bookings open.

Are HAF places available at every location?

Funded places are offered on selected holiday programmes. Hampshire’s HAF programme runs during February half term, Easter, summer and winter. The Hampshire HAF directory on Eequ shows the participating venues and sessions.

What changed in September 2026?

Free school meals expanded to all Universal Credit households, but HAF still follows Targeted Free School Meals criteria. Expanded FSM entitlement alone does not qualify. Read our HAF guidance for the differences and how to check.

Can my child be considered for a discretionary place?

Hampshire can approve a limited number of discretionary places, including some children with an EHCP or a professional referral. Approval is not automatic. From September 2026, discretionary eligibility must be confirmed again for the academic year.

Do I need a HAF booking code?

No separate code is needed. Create an Eequ account and a profile for each child. Hampshire checks eligibility through the booking process. Wait for your booking confirmation.

Getting ready

What should my child bring?

A packed lunch unless your booking includes one, refillable water bottle, snacks, suitable shoes, a coat and spare clothes. For watersports, bring water-friendly clothing, a towel and spare shoes. Follow the chosen camp’s information pack.

Is lunch provided?

Bring a packed lunch unless you add a hot-lunch option to your paid booking. Christmas 2026 at Gosport offers hot lunch for £3.50 per day. Funded HAF sessions include a meal. Please tell us about allergies and dietary requirements when booking, and contact the team if anything changes.

Can my child attend with additional needs?

Please talk to the team before booking so we can discuss suitability and reasonable adjustments. Dedicated one-to-one or EHCP support is not available.
