The primary focus of this award is to ensure safety while paddling in sheltered water areas, which includes using canoes, kayaks, and stand up paddle boards. Regardless of your age or level of experience, this practical course is designed to equip you with safe and effective solutions for paddling with friends or your club. Additionally, this training program is entirely dedicated to enhancing your awareness and knowledge, without any evaluation or assessment. As this is one of the prerequisites to become a qualified Instructor or Coach, we are also externally organising these courses so that it is possible to progress to an instructor/coach level, if you so wish to progress along the coaching pathway. This provides the information and coaching to be able to safely rescue another paddler in many different situations. This is an enjoyable practical course. You must be prepared to get wet for this course.

If you are interest in becoming a coach or an instructor, please visit this link: BC Paddlesport Instructor.
