GoSport Activity Centre Ltd is an Ofsted-registered childcare and outdoor activity provider in Gosport, Hampshire. We deliver paddlesports, climbing, archery, axe-throwing, bushcraft, raft-building and more to schools, Scouts, families, and the wider community. We are looking for a number of Activity Instructors to join our team. This is a varied role combining activity instruction with centre operations, ensuring visitors enjoy safe, fun, and memorable experiences. Our Holiday Activity Camps as ideal for those looking for School Holiday work. This might be the perfect opportunity for teachers and trainee teachers, Teaching Assistants and Support Staff.

Key Responsibilities
-
Lead and assist sessions in kayaking, canoeing, paddleboarding, raft-building, climbing wall, archery, axe-throwing and bushcraft (training/induction provided).

Support groups including schools, community organisations, Scouts/Guides, and family bookings.

Welcome visitors, issue/return kit, and provide excellent customer service.

Carry out daily opening and closing tasks for the centre.

Set up and pack away activity areas.

Deliver , Holiday Activity Camps, Tasters, birthday parties, residential programmes and more to a high level.

Complete dynamic risk assessments and uphold AALA/HSE good practice and work within operating procedures and risk assessments.

Support Maintaining equipment

Monitor safety and safeguarding during all sessions.

Record incidents/near misses accurately.

Support the Centre Manager with operational tasks.

Contribute ideas and enthusiasm to our growing centre and company.

Support with Centre operations such as the cafe, bar and cleaning duties.
Essential Criteria
-
Previous experience in outdoor instruction or childcare.
-
Positive, upbeat manner with children and families.
-
Reliable, punctual, and calm under pressure.
-
Team player with initiative and good communication skills.
-
Willingness to work weekends, evenings, and school holidays.

Commitment to safeguarding and equality.
-
Ability to travel to/from Brodrick Hall, Gosport or The Gregg School Southampton.
Desirable Criteria
-
Paddle UK Paddlesport Instructor/ Coach Award Sheltered Water Canoe and Kayak
-
First Aid at Work or Paediatric First Aid.

Archery GB Leader Award.

ERCA/Climbing Wall Instructor.

Safeguarding training.

Food hygiene certificate Level 2
